About

Who We Are

Neu Circuits Counselling & Psychotherapy provides counselling and psychotherapy services for adults 18 years and over grounded in contemporary scientific research and evidence-based therapeutic practice.

About Us

The practice is trauma-informed and integrative, informed by psychological research, neuroscience, and an understanding of how experiences shape the nervous system, emotional regulation, and patterns of response. Central to this work is the principle of neuroplasticity — the brain’s capacity to adapt and change through experience over time.

A strong commitment to ongoing professional development underpins the work at Neu Circuits. This includes undertaking professional training delivered by leading figures in the field, such as Bessel van der Kolk in relation to trauma, and DBT skills training delivered by Marsha M. Linehan, alongside other continuing education experiences. These learnings inform clinical practice and are integrated thoughtfully within evidence-based and trauma-informed frameworks.

Our therapy is approached as a collaborative and paced process, focused on creating a safe and respectful therapeutic space. The emphasis is on understanding patterns shaped by past experiences and supporting the development of new ways of responding that feel more regulated and aligned, rather than diagnosing or fixing.

Neu Circuits works with adults 18 years and over, experiencing emotional and relational difficulties, including anxiety, trauma-related challenges, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, neurodivergence (ADHD and ASD traits), and life transitions. An inclusive and affirming space is offered for individuals of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures.

About the Practitioner

Neu Circuits is led by Yeser, a PACFA Certified Practising Counsellor with a background in psychology, psychotherapy and counselling. Clinical work is grounded in trauma-informed and evidence-based practice, with a strong emphasis on reflective practice and ongoing learning.

Yeser works with adults 18 years and over, experiencing a range of emotional and relational difficulties, including trauma-related difficulties, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and experiences associated with borderline personality disorder. Where appropriate, she works collaboratively with psychiatrists and other treating professionals to support coordinated and ethical care. Yeser has also worked extensively as a trained crisis supporter with Lifeline, and other Community focused support services, informing a deep understanding of neurodivergent needs, risk, boundaries, and ethical practice.

Our therapeutic style is collaborative, inclusive, culturally informed and paced with care, supporting clients to engage in therapy in a way that feels safe, respectful, and attuned to individual needs.

Professional development experiences inform clinical practice and do not imply direct affiliation or certification unless otherwise stated.

Counselling and psychotherapy services are provided in accordance with PACFA standards of practice.
